In Mersin, a new development has occurred in the investigation regarding a woman in a burkini not being allowed into a site pool. Baran D., the site employee initially released under judicial control, was arrested and sent to prison after the file was re-evaluated following an objection by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

A new decision has been made in the investigation regarding the burkini dispute that occurred in a complex in Mezitli district of Mersin.

In the incident at Zafer Sitesi in Tece Neighborhood, a woman whose child was in the pool wanted to enter the pool area wearing a burkini. According to the allegations, the site attendant did not allow the woman to enter the pool area due to her attire.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED AFTER THE FOOTAGE

The woman, who recorded the incident with her mobile phone camera, called for help. After the footage was circulated, an investigation was launched by the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

The site attendant Baran D., who was detained as part of the investigation, was released by the court under judicial control.

THE PROSECUTOR'S OBJECTION YIELDED RESULTS

After the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office objected to the release decision, the case was reassessed.

As a result of the review, an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect Baran D. Thus, the site attendant who was released under judicial control was sent to prison.
