Lara B., a businesswoman who handles advertising and event organization for famous figures in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district, had a nervous breakdown last year when she found out that her boyfriend, İbrahim B., was married. As a result, the famous businesswoman claimed that she entered the home of İbrahim B.'s girlfriend and broke a glass on her head, alleging that he also raped her. There has been a new development in the case, as it has been determined through Lara B.'s examination that there was no forced sexual intercourse involved.
A businesswoman Lara B. (34), who lives in Istanbul Beşiktaş and handles advertising and event organization for famous personalities, had a nervous breakdown last year on March 6th when she found out that her boyfriend İbrahim B. (31) was married. After consuming alcohol, the couple started arguing and the tension between them escalated. Lara B. demanded that her boyfriend leave his wife and marry her. After receiving a negative response, the woman went crazy and threw a bottle of alcohol at her boyfriend's shoulder.
"I ACCUSE YOU OF RAPE"
According to the news in Sabah, after the incident, Lara B. sent threatening messages to İbrahim B., who had left the house, saying, "If you deceive me, be prepared for false accusations. You will pay the price. You will go to prison. It takes 4 months for the results of the Forensic Medicine. Yes, I accuse you of rape. Wait and see with at least 20 years of imprisonment for deprivation of liberty and more."
HE ADMITTED HITTING HER WITH A GLASS
The suspect İbrahim B., in his statement, denied the accusations and stated that he had a long-term relationship with Lara B., and they had an argument after consuming alcohol on the day he was at his girlfriend's house. He mentioned that Lara B. hit him on the shoulder with a bottle of alcohol, and he, unable to control his anger, hit his girlfriend on the head with a glass.
EVERYTHING REVEALED DURING EXAMINATION
Lara B., in her statement, denied the accusations and claimed that she had a nervous breakdown when she found out that her boyfriend was married. She stated that during the argument, İbrahim B. hit her on the head with a glass and on the left cheek with a mobile phone, and she claimed that she was the one who recorded the audio but couldn't remember it due to being intoxicated. The examination of Lara B. revealed that there was no evidence of forced sexual intercourse. Lara B. withdrew her complaint 16 days later, stating that she used medication for stress disorder and made such a complaint due to emotional emptiness she experienced.
7 YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT DEMANDED
After the completion of the investigation by the Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office, a lawsuit was filed against Lara B. at the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance. In the prepared indictment, it was stated that the suspect Lara B. acted in this way out of revenge because İbrahim B. did not leave his wife and marry her. While a 7-year prison sentence was demanded for the suspect Lara B. on charges of "attempted injury with a weapon" and defamation, the suspect İbrahim B. was demanded to be sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for the crime of "simple injury with a weapon". The suspects will appear before the judge in the coming days.
