Footage of the traffic accident in which 1 person lost their life and 11 were injured in the Şehzadeler district of Manisa has emerged. The images captured by the security camera of a private public bus revealed the severity of the accident.
Footage of the accident in which a private public minibus and a closed-box minibus collided in the Şehzadeler district of Manisa, resulting in the death of passenger Asım Girgeç (75) and injuries to 11 people, has emerged.
THROWN FROM THEIR SEATS UPON IMPACT
The accident occurred at the intersection of Karaoğlanlı Neighborhood in Şehzadeler district. After the crash, footage from the private public bus's interior camera showed the moments when a panel van approached the intersection at high speed and hit the bus. The images reveal that due to the force of the collision, the bus violently swerved, passengers were thrown from their seats and tossed inside the bus, causing great panic.
During the accident, the bus driver tried to maintain control of the steering wheel, while passengers' cries for help filled the air after the collision.
In the accident, passenger Asım Girgeç lost his life, and 11 others, including 4 seriously injured, were hurt. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals after initial medical intervention by teams dispatched to the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
