APOLOGIZED: I ENGAGED IN AN ACTION UNBECOMING OF MY CAREER

Erkin apologized to the Sakaryaspor community for the incident. He stated that he acted in a manner unbefitting of his career due to being insulted and cursed at, saying, "Due to the insults directed at me and the continuation of the words while I was going to take the corner kick, when I turned around and faced him, I engaged in an action unbefitting of me and my career as a result of him cursing at me. Dear Sakaryaspor community, I want to express my deep sadness to the valuable Sakaryaspor community and all football fans regarding the incident that occurred with my teammate during the match we played against Pendikspor yesterday."

Since the day I transferred to a rooted community like Sakaryaspor, I have focused solely on success by putting in all my effort both on and off the field. I reacted in a resentful manner because my teammate Burak Altıparmak did not pass to me after he entered a position in the match.

After this statement, due to the insults directed at me and the continuation of the words while I was going to take the corner kick, when I turned around and faced him, I engaged in an action unbefitting of me and my career as a result of him cursing at me. As the team captain, I should not have allowed such a discussion to escalate to this point, and I should not have left my team alone during the match for this reason. For this, I apologize first to our community and then to all football fans. I will continue to fight until the last drop of my sweat for the success of Sakaryaspor and for it to be where it deserves at the end of the season," he stated.
