The last wish of the master artist Cansever, who passed away during his leukemia treatment in Germany, has been revealed. According to the news in Sabah, Cansever will be laid to rest in Veles, North Macedonia, where he was born and raised, per his will. The artist's funeral will be held on Monday, August 12, at the Fazlı Ahmet Paşa Mosque in Veles, followed by the funeral prayer after the noon prayer, and he will be laid to rest in the family cemetery, bidding him farewell on his final journey.
A LIFE STORY FULL OF HARDSHIPS
The artist, whose real name is Dzansever Dalipova, was born in Veles, North Macedonia, and developed a great interest in music from an early age. Cansever, who struggled with many difficulties throughout his life, lost an eye as a result of an accident when he was only 12 years old. The artist stepped into his professional music career with his album "Kemano Başal E Romenge" released in 1992, and achieved his real fame in Turkey with the folk song "Kara Çadır" performed on the famous television program İbo Show, becoming widely recognized.
YEARS SPENT WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS
In addition to his success in music, Cansever, who also fought serious health issues, was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 1994. Due to this disease, the artist experienced physical difficulties for many years and moved to Germany for treatment in 2007. After a successful operation there, Cansever got rid of his hunchback problem and continued his music work without interruption. However, at the end of 2025, the artist contracted leukemia and, after a long battle with cancer, closed his eyes to life at the age of 59.
