Tuncel Kurtiz, who portrayed the unforgettable character "Ramiz Dayı" in the iconic Turkish series Ezel, was remembered once again with the documentary "Bölük Pörçük: A Tuncel Kurtiz Biography." In the documentary, Cansu Dere shared for the first time her last meeting with the master actor, moving everyone with her words, "It turns out that was our last meeting."
Starting in 2009 and concluding with its 71st episode on June 20, 2011, Ezel is regarded as one of the most impactful productions in Turkish television history. The character "Ramiz Dayı," brought to life by Tuncel Kurtiz, remains unforgettable over the years; the cast included names such as Kenan İmirzalioğlu, Cansu Dere, Barış Falay, Bade İşçil, Haluk Bilginer, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, and Berrak Tüzünataç. The life of Ramiz Dayı and Tuncel Kurtiz's artistic journey were revisited in the newly released documentary Bölük Pörçük: A Tuncel Kurtiz Biography, narrated by his close friends and colleagues.
"I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT WAS OUR LAST MEETING"
In the documentary, Cansu Dere shared an emotional moment while recounting her last memory with Tuncel Kurtiz. The actress, with tears in her eyes, conveyed their unforgettable conversation, saying, "One day he came, and we chatted. He asked, 'Shall we drink alcohol?' I said yes, but I don't really like it, so I put ice in the glass. He got upset with me, saying, 'You don't put ice in this glass.' We drank a little, and then he left... Little did I know, that was our last meeting."
"I CAN'T FORGET THAT VOICE"
Dere continued with sadness, saying, "Shortly after, we lost him. A hundred times he would say 'Eyşan,' a thousand times 'Eyşan,' still echoes in my ears. I can't forget that voice."
