KYIV, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that they are ready to halt military operations along the current front lines in order to end the conflict with Russia as soon as possible, but he categorically rejected any concessions on the country's territory.
In an interview with ABC News on Friday, Zelenskyy said they intend to reach a ceasefire agreement, while stating that they do not accept proposals that would involve giving up 25 percent of Ukrainian territory.
350 MISSILES ARE NEEDED PER MONTH, 24 ARRIVED IN 3 MONTHS
Expressing regret over the decline in U.S. military aid, Zelenskyy said that despite a monthly requirement of 350 missiles for Patriot air defense systems, they had received only 24 interceptor missiles from the U.S. in the past three months. Drawing attention to the seriousness of the situation, Zelenskyy recalled that 30 ballistic missiles hit Kyiv on Thursday night alone.
Meanwhile, according to reports in the U.S. press, Washington is pressuring Zelenskyy to make concessions in order to secure a peace agreement. U.S. President Donald Trump, for his part, holds Kyiv responsible for the lack of progress in the talks being conducted under U.S. mediation.
