In the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 14 people, including former Galatasaray President Burak Elmas, former Beşiktaş President Fikret Orman, Didem Soydan, Güzide Duran, Hakan Sabancı, and Kerim Sabancı, were referred to the courthouse. A warrant was also issued for the arrest of Kaan Mellart and Hande Erçel as part of the investigation.
As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the procedures for 14 suspects detained by the Narcotic Crimes Combat Branch teams have been completed. After health checks, the suspects were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE STATEMENT
In a statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that an investigation was initiated against those involved to protect the general morality of society, the social structure, and family order.
ARREST WARRANT FOR 16 SUSPECTS
In the statement, it was reported that an arrest warrant was issued for 16 suspects "who possess narcotic substances for personal use or facilitate the use of narcotics" when the work done and the evidence collected were evaluated together.
WHO IS NOT ON THE LIST?
In the statement, it was expressed that simultaneous operations were carried out at 16 addresses by the Istanbul Narcotic Crimes Combat Branch teams to capture the suspects, and the names for whom arrest warrants were issued were reported as follows:
"Fikret Orman, Güzide Aksoy (Güzide Duran), Hakan Sabancı, Kerim Sabancı, Hande Erçel, Burak Elmas, Sezgin Köysüren, Ferhat Aydın, Lütfiye Tuğçe Özbudak, Koray Serenli, Onur Bükçü, İsmail Behram Perinçekli, Kaan Mellart, Didem Soydan, Onur Talay, Mustafa Tari."
ARREST WARRANT FOR 2 SUSPECTS
It was learned that 14 of the suspects were detained, while an arrest warrant was issued for Kaan Mellart and Hande Erçel.
BLOOD AND HAIR SAMPLES WERE TAKEN
The suspects brought to the Forensic Medicine Institution in Yenibosna had blood and hair samples taken before being taken to the Narcotic Crimes Combat Branch.
OPERATION AGAINST CELEBRITIES STARTED IN OCTOBER
Since October 8, 2025, many operations have been carried out in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against celebrities. Many well-known names in the public eye, including musicians, managers, and businesspeople, provided statements and gave blood and hair samples for drug testing. A total of 26 people were arrested in the investigation.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
Those detained in the drug operation against celebrities are first subjected to health checks at the hospital. These individuals are then taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for drug testing. Afterward, the celebrities are taken to the courthouse to give statements to the prosecutor. The prosecutor's request regarding those detained is made at this stage. Depending on the request, the celebrity names are either released or referred to court.
