Cem Yılmaz underwent Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy at the hospital he came to for a check-up after the heart attack he had in Çanakkale Ayvacık 40 days ago. It was stated that in the test performed, he did not have a heart attack, the other vessels nourished the heart well, and the expected good result was obtained.

Comedian Cem Yılmaz met with Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit, a faculty member of the Department of Cardiology who performed his surgery at the hospital where he was treated, and was examined. Cem Yılmaz then came to the hospital's Nuclear Medicine Center and underwent a Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy procedure. Afterwards, he evaluated the situation with Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit and Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine Prof. Dr. Semra Usta. Yılmaz then made statements to members of the press.

“I NEED TO BE A LITTLE CAREFUL BECAUSE I OVERCAME SOMETHING DIFFICULT”

Recalling that he came to the hospital by ambulance 40 days ago, Cem Yılmaz said, “But I'm glad I came. I had an unpleasant heart attack that everyone worried about, and I was also the protagonist of the event. Thankfully, they did whatever was necessary. I came back to life, I'm happy. Today, on the 40th day, I came for a check-up. Our teacher Ercan and my teacher Semra helped on the nuclear side of the matter. Today I came to see how my heart is doing. With a song by Aleyna Tilki, 'Please put that heart you stole back in its place,' we sweetened the matter. Thank God, good. But since I overcame something difficult, I need to be a bit careful. Happy news: I quit smoking, I take my medications regularly, I do my exercise. In Istanbul, when I gradually went out, some people were bothered like this: 'Enough already with your health problems. My uncle's son had open heart surgery last week and was walking. Yours took so long.' I try to follow the rules, I'm not acting recklessly. I need some time. I'm glad I finished the film before this event. It coincided with a good schedule. The film just ended, and we dealt with this,” he said.

Yılmaz, who also thanked the members of the press for their interest, said, “Thank you, may you be well. I didn't want to make it look like I secretly came from the hospital and secretly ran away without saying anything to you. Our hospital has become my hospital both materially and spiritually. Whatever benefit I can provide to our university, I will try to do my best. This is not a childish promise. If I can be of any tangible benefit, I am always at your service,” he said.

“AS WE EXPECTED, WE ENCOUNTERED A BEAUTIFUL HEART SCINTIGRAPHY RESULT”

Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine Prof. Dr. Semra Usta said, “As you know, Cem Yılmaz had a heart attack 40 days ago in Çanakkale Ayvacık. He was quickly transferred to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, and in the skilled hands of our teacher Ercan, his angiography and necessary intervention were performed and a stent was placed. Afterwards, our teacher Ercan planned a Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy to understand the heart's nourishment and whether there was any need for anything for the other vessels. We made the plan together, and today he came to our nuclear medicine department for the Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy. We performed our 2-stage test on him and saw that his other vessels, which did not have a heart attack, supply his heart well. As we expected, we encountered a beautiful heart scintigraphy result, and we evaluated the images with our clinician teacher, our teacher Ercan. From now on, we will continue his follow-up,” she said.

Cem Yılmaz then left the hospital.
