The argument that broke out after an accident involving two vehicles in the Keşap district of Giresun ended in bloodshed. During the fight between the drivers, Salim Atmaca, who was shot in the head with a pistol, died at the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle was taken into custody by the gendarmerie.
After a material damage accident involving two vehicles in the Keşap district of Giresun, an argument between the drivers turned into an armed fight. One of the drivers, Salim Atmaca, lost his life after a bullet struck his head, while the other driver, S.Ç., was taken into custody.
ARGUMENT AFTER ACCIDENT
The incident occurred at around 21:00 at the Köp Junction on the Keşap-Karabulduk highway, in the Dokuztepe village area. The car driven by Salim Atmaca and the light commercial vehicle driven by S.Ç. collided.
Following the accident with material damage, an argument broke out between the two drivers for reasons still unknown. The argument quickly escalated into a fight.
OPENED FIRE WITH A GUN DURING THE FIGHT
During the scuffle, according to allegations, S.Ç. fired a gun he had with him at Salim Atmaca. Atmaca, hit in the head by the bullet, was seriously injured at the steering wheel.
Upon reports from those around, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.
LOST HIS LIFE
During the health teams' check at the scene, it was determined that Atmaca had lost his life. Atmaca's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy after the work of the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation teams.
OTHER DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Following the incident, gendarmerie teams launched an investigation and took the other driver, S.Ç., into custody.
It was reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
