The "Regulation on the Amendment of the Turkish Food Codex Sugar Regulation" prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into force.
The regulation establishes the procedures and principles regarding the preparation, processing, preservation, and marketing of sugars.
With the amendment, a provision regarding the labeling of products within the scope of the regulation has been arranged.
Accordingly, for the products "dextrose or dextrose monohydrate," "dextrose or anhydrous dextrose," fructose, "glucose syrup or glucose-fructose syrup or fructose-glucose syrup," and "dried glucose syrup or dried glucose-fructose syrup or dried fructose-glucose syrup," the source from which they are obtained will be written in parentheses following the product names.
