In the investigation following the discovery of the dismembered body of Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan, in Şişli, Istanbul, on the night of January 24, a development occurred that even shocked the judicial authorities. The key figure in the case, the defendant Gofurjon Akmalkhonovich Kamalkhodaev, who is in prison, confessed in his additional statement that they had similarly murdered another woman from Uzbekistan.
On the night of January 24, dismembered body parts were found in a trash container in Şişli, Istanbul, and after investigations, it was determined that the victim was Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan. A confession from one of the suspects arrested in the investigation revealed that the brutality was not limited to a single murder.
CONFESSED THE SECOND MURDER IN PRISON
According to journalist Emrullah Erdinç's report, the suspect Gofurjon Akmalkhonovıch Kamalkhodaev (Gafur Can), who is detained in the case, provided chilling information in an additional statement taken in prison. The suspect confessed that after committing the first murder, they similarly killed another woman from Uzbekistan.
"WE DISMEMBERED HER AND THREW HER INTO CONTAINERS"
According to Kamalkhodaev's statement, Ergashalieva Sayyora Bahromjon (Seyyare), also a citizen of Uzbekistan, was killed in the same brutal manner. The suspect coldly recounted that they dismembered Seyyare's lifeless body in a house in Ümraniye and distributed the parts by throwing them into trash containers at various locations in Istanbul.
It was learned that Seyyare was in a relationship with Gofurjon Akmalkhonovıch Kamalkhodaev.
INVESTIGATION IS EXPANDING
The process that began with the body parts found in a container in Şişli has turned into a case of serially committed femicides with this confession. Law enforcement agencies intensified their search for body parts and evidence collection in different regions of Istanbul based on the confessions.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The dismembered body of Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan, was found thrown into a trash container in Şişli, Istanbul.
The incident came to light when a paper collector noticed the body in the trash and reported it to the police on January 24.
After examining eight hours of security camera footage, three male suspects, two of whom are citizens of Uzbekistan, were identified.
The suspects were caught at Istanbul Airport while trying to flee to Georgia.
