The statement of Fatih İnan, who confessed to killing Mihriban Yılmaz in the Bornova district of İzmir and burying her body, has emerged. In his statement, İnan mentioned that he tried to take the phone when he realized Yılmaz was recording their conversation with her mobile phone, and he said, "My intention was not to harm Mihriban." Fatih İnan was also arrested in connection with the investigation into the death of Naile Büşra Sarıgül, who died in a factory in Manisa three years ago.

HIS FAMILY FILED A MISSING PERSON REPORT The incident occurred on December 29, 2025, in Ümit Neighborhood. Mihriban Yılmaz, who was living with her family, left the house in the evening and went to visit relatives living nearby. After staying here for a while, Yılmaz left, saying, "I will meet someone." After this date, her family, who could not hear from Mihriban Yılmaz, filed a missing person report.
Mihriban Yılmaz HE CONFESSED TO KILLING HER AND BURYING HER IN THE FOREST With the support of the Intelligence Branch Directorate, the Public Order Branch Directorate and Bornova Police Department teams initiated an investigation. Police teams determined that Yılmaz went to an empty lot on 7309 Street around 8:30 PM on the day of the incident and got into a car waiting for her there. It was identified that the person driving the vehicle was Fatih İnan. It was found that the suspect lived in the same building as Mihriban Yılmaz's relatives. On January 11, police teams detained İnan along with R.Ç. (34), R.Ç. (32), H.İ. (37), and Ö.İ. (25). Fatih İnan confessed that he strangled Yılmaz and buried her body in the forest. After his procedures at the police station, İnan was arrested by the court, while the others were released under judicial control. Mihriban Yılmaz's body was buried.

İnan stated that he recorded the conversation between him and Mihriban Yılmaz on her mobile phone, saying, "I tried to take the phone, she didn't give it to me and tried to get out of the car. She said she would tell her brothers. When I threatened her by saying, 'My brothers will kill you,' I panicked and lost my ability to think. I didn't intend to harm Mihriban, but due to her threats and the problems I would face, I tried to prevent her from getting out of the car in panic. At that moment, I pulled Mihriban towards me with one hand and covered her mouth with the other hand so she wouldn't scream. I didn't intend to harm her. My intention was to take her phone and delete the recorded audio before sending her away," he stated.
Fatih İnan "I BURIED HER IN THE FOREST WHEN I REALIZED SHE WAS DEAD" Fatih İnan, who said he covered Mihriban's mouth for a while with his hand, continued his statement as follows:
"Suddenly, she fainted. I tried to get out of the car. When I opened the door, we fell out of the car. Mihriban was unconscious. First, I looked around. I realized that there was no one to see us. I tried to wake her up by slapping her face, but she did not respond at all. Then I started doing CPR, but I didn't get any results. She was still lying motionless. In that moment of shock and panic, I tried to provide her with emergency assistance. I performed all the first aid techniques I knew, but I was in shock due to the severity of the incident. I was in a dilemma about whether to call someone or not, and I couldn't call anyone. When I took Mihriban's phone in my hand, I realized that the audio recording was still going on and I stopped the recording. At that moment, Mihriban's phone rang several times. Her aunt and mother were calling, but I didn't answer the phone. I put Mihriban in the back seat of the truck. Taking the phone with me, I went towards the forest in Pınarbaşı. In Pınarbaşı, I entered the forest from the right side of the warehouse belonging to my uncle. I don't remember exactly how long and how far I went. However, if you take me there now, I can show you where I went. When we reached the place in the forest, I took Mihriban out of the car and tried to revive her again by doing CPR on the ground. However, Mihriban was not responding in any way. She was lying lifeless. This situation made me very anxious. When I realized she was dead, I buried her in the forest."
Naile Büşra Sarıgül THE SUSPECT WAS ALSO ARRESTED FOR THE DEATH OF NAİLE BÜŞRA Meanwhile, while the investigation into the incident continues, it has emerged that İnan was also connected to an incident in Manisa in 2023. It was determined that Naile Büşra Sarıgül, who worked as a workplace safety expert in a factory in the Yunusemre district, died after falling from a height on August 3, 2023, and sperm samples belonging to Fatih İnan were found in the DNA samples taken from Sarıgül. It was reported that the death was due to a heart attack, and it was learned that a decision of 'no grounds for prosecution' was made regarding İnan. In the investigation, it was found that Fatih İnan's brother Ö.İ. had messaged his uncle K.İ. K.İ. had sent a message saying, 'I'm not afraid of the old one, I'm afraid of this one,' to which Ö.İ. replied, 'Don't make a sound.' It was learned that Ö.İ. stated in his testimony that the messages in question were related to the death of Naile Büşra Sarıgül. Following these developments, the investigation prosecutor requested the lifting of the 'no grounds for prosecution' decision regarding Sarıgül's death.
"STRONG SUSPICION OF CRIME" It was stated that Fatih İnan, whose statement was taken again as part of the investigation, said that he had a romantic relationship with Naile Büşra Sarıgül, but witnesses did not confirm this situation. The prosecutor stated that there was strong suspicion that İnan committed the crime because it was known by relatives that he pushed Sarıgül from the second floor of the construction site after having sexual intercourse with her without her consent. Fatih İnan, who is detained for killing Mihriban Yılmaz, was also arrested for 'Qualified sexual assault' and 'Premeditated murder' against Sarıgül.
