While tensions continue in front of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır's vehicle with a TBMM license plate was blocked by the police. Başarır reacted by saying, "There is permission for the trustee's vehicle, but not for the TBMM vehicle; this is a civilian coup," to which the police responded, "Don't engage in demagoguery."

The tension continues after the insistence of the trustee committee appointed by the court to occupy the Istanbul Provincial Presidency of the CHP. Following the images of the conflict, the building had started to be used as Özgür Özel's office.

In the morning hours, the police took extensive security measures around the building. Barricades were set up with trash cans, and no one except for the members of parliament was allowed to enter. CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır reacted to the situation, stating that his official vehicle with the license plate of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey was also blocked.

"THIS IS A COUP"

Referring to Gürsel Tekin, Başarır said, "There is permission for the trustee's private car, but there is no permission for the vehicle with the GNAT license plate." He added, "This is a coup. If you stop the GNAT and let the trustee pass, this is a civil-looking coup. If the state does not recognize its own parliament, then the law is merely a decorative item."

"DON'T DEMAGOGUE"

A police officer responded to Başarır's remarks with, "Don't demagogue."
