In the drug investigation involving celebrities, Lal Denizli, the CHP mayor of Çeşme, was summoned for questioning by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
A new development has occurred within the extensive "drug operation targeting celebrities" conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. According to the information obtained, Çeşme Mayor Lal Denizli has been summoned to the courthouse to give a statement as part of the investigation.
STATEMENT EXPECTED
According to the information shared by journalist Burak Doğan, the scope of the investigation, which has caused a significant public outcry, has been expanded. An investigation has been initiated against Denizli, whose name appears in the case, for providing a place for drug use and for drug use itself.
Lal Denizli is expected to come to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to give a statement regarding the allegations against her.
WHO IS LAL DENIZLI?
Lal Denizli, the daughter of famous coach Mustafa Denizli, was born in Istanbul in 1991. A graduate of Lycee Françaiş Pierre Loti D'Istanbul, Denizli completed her undergraduate education in Political Science with a minor in Law at Bilgi University and is continuing her master's degree in the Department of International Relations at the same university.
Lal Denizli's political career began by serving in various positions within the Republican People's Party. Single and having held many roles in the party from youth branches to election field coordination, Lal Denizli speaks French, English, and Spanish.
Lal Denizli was elected as the Mayor of Çeşme by receiving 53.74% of the votes in the local elections held on March 31, 2023, in the Çeşme district of İzmir.
