Famous supermodel Cindy Crawford made her first post about her son Presley Gerber, who died on September 20 at the age of 27. Police are investigating the death on suspicion of a possible overdose.
World-famous supermodel Cindy Crawford has spoken out for the first time since the death of her son Presley Gerber, who died last month at the age of 27. According to BBC News, Crawford said her family was "indescribably devastated."
In a message shared on her Instagram account with a black-and-white photo of her son, Crawford said, "He was a sweet, beautiful soul; he loved and was loved, now and forever." The famous model also wrote that they were proud that her son existed in the world with kindness and vulnerability.
Presley Gerber died on September 20 at a rehabilitation center in California. Police are investigating the death as a possible overdose case. While the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office lists the case among those awaiting further examination, the Santa Monica Police Department announced that there was no indication that anyone else was involved in the death.
Crawford, saying, "We feel very lucky that Presley was in our lives for 27 years," thanked those who knew her family and strangers who shared their pain for their support. She ended her message with the words, "Until we meet again, our sweet son. We love you forever. Your mother, father, and Kaia."
Gerber's sister, model Kaia Gerber, also made an emotional post for her brother the same day. Sharing a video of them dancing together as children and a four-page letter, Kaia wrote, "I am learning to love you when I cannot see you."
Presley Gerber, who modeled like his mother and sister, first walked the runway at age 16 for Italian fashion brand Moschino. In recent years, Gerber spoke openly about mental health issues and drug use, and shared videos on Instagram that he called "Mental Health Mondays."
His father, Rande Gerber, is a well-known businessman who founded the Casamigos tequila brand with George Clooney.
