US President Donald Trump claimed that 'major progress' had been made in the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine and that he could sign the peace document at any time he wanted. US President Donald Trump, claiming that "major progress" has been made in peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, on the other hand criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for targeting diesel refineries in Russia that cause serious damage to world diesel markets and for not wanting to end the war.
Trump posted on his account on the social media platform TruthSocial.
HE CAN SIGN THE PEACE DOCUMENT WHENEVER HE WANTS
Trump, stating that he continues to conduct peace negotiations in the war between Russia and Ukraine, said he did not want to do anything that would "stupidly" push Russia away from the negotiating table.
Trump, claiming that great progress had been made in the negotiations, including the current hostage negotiations, argued that he could sign the peace document "at any time he wants."
Trump, noting that Russia had done very little "or even nothing at all" to help Iran, said, "And I want to keep it that way, and I will keep it that way unless stupid people interfere."
ZELENSKY DOES NOT WANT TO END THIS WAR
Trump, on the other hand, criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for targeting diesel refineries in Russia, knowing that this causes serious damage to world diesel markets, including the US.
Trump, saying that farmers and other businesses had suffered great damage from these attacks, nevertheless drew attention to the fact that Russia still sends millions of barrels of diesel to the world at a low price.
Trump said, "Zelensky doesn't care and, frankly, despite all the money Europe and crooked Joe Biden gave him in the past, he doesn't want to end this war and probably never did. He could have made a better deal two years ago than he can now."
Trump, noting that Zelensky's country is in a dire state, that a large part of its territory has been lost, and that its male population is wounded or dead, recorded that he wants the war between Ukraine and Russia to end.
