After the statement by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel that the presidential candidate will be determined by a primary election, a striking claim has emerged. According to the claim, the approval of Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş was not obtained for this method. Journalist Gübrüz Evren, who based the claim on insider information, said, "Things are going to get really messy."
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated in his remarks regarding the process of determining the presidential candidate at his party's group meeting today, "We are on the first day of a new process until we determine our presidential candidate. We are starting today," and mentioned that the candidate will be determined by 1.6 million party members.
"MANSUR YAVAŞ'S APPROVAL HAS NOT BEEN OBTAINED"
Following Özel's statements, attention turned to Yavaş and İmamoğlu; a bombshell claim was made. In a live broadcast on TV100, journalist Gürbüz Evren shared insider information regarding the process of determining the presidential candidate in the CHP. Evren stated, "Congratulations to İmamoğlu. Holding a primary with the members means İmamoğlu is the candidate. Mansur Bey's approval has not been obtained for this method," he expressed.
"THE SITUATION WILL GET CHAOTIC"
"However, Özgür Bey had said we would conduct a survey. The parliamentary group PM MYK was bypassed," said Evren, adding, "In short, what Ekrem said has happened. The situation will get chaotic."
