It is claimed that Sipan Hemo, known as the number two of YPG/SDG, was killed in a drone attack carried out in the city of Qamishli, Syria.

It was claimed that Sipan Hemo, known as the number two of YPG/SDG and recently in the spotlight for his calls to Israel, was killed in a drone strike in Kamışlı, Syria.

CLAIM OF "SIPAN HEMO IS DEAD"

According to a report in Takvim, local sources suggested that the drones targeted a meeting attended by PKK leaders in the city of Kamışlı, Syria. As a result of the attack, it was claimed that several high-ranking individuals, including Semir Asu, known by the code name "Sipan Hemo," who is recognized as the number two of YPG/SDG, were neutralized. Syrian journalists also confirmed on social media that Sipan Hemo was killed in the drone strike.

Sipan Hemo was known as the second-in-command of the organization in Syria after Ferhat Abdi Şahin, known by the code name "Mazlum Kobani." Hemo, who is the highest-level representative of the Kandil cadre within the organization's Syrian structure, was said to be one of the closest individuals to Bahoz Erdal, one of the senior figures of the PKK.
