President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone call with United Kingdom's Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester. During the call, bilateral relations between Turkey and the United Kingdom, as well as defense industry, trade, and regional developments, were discussed.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BURNHAM
According to a statement from the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the leaders discussed Turkey-UK bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments during the call.
Erdogan, who congratulated Prime Minister Burnham on his new role, stated his belief that the relations between the two countries would be carried to even further levels in the coming period.
MESSAGE OF COOPERATION
During the meeting, Erdogan drew attention to the significant strides Turkey and the United Kingdom have made in cooperation in every field, especially in the defense industry, and emphasized the importance of the Strategic Partnership Framework Document and the Security and Defense Partnership Document signed by the two countries.
Erdogan stated that they will continue to work together to achieve targets in investment areas as well as by increasing the trade volume.
