The yellow-navy club emphasized that Greenwood's transfer fee is 39 million euros as reported to KAP (Public Disclosure Platform), and stated that legal action has been initiated with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against individuals, including Necati Ateş, who made statements based on the fake document.
Fenerbahce has issued a statement regarding a document circulating about Mason Greenwood's transfer. The yellow-navy club announced that the document showing the player's transfer fee as 50 million euros is fake.
The club reminded that Greenwood was transferred from Olympique Marseille with a transfer fee of 39 million euros, and this amount was reported to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on July 14, 2026.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINT ABOUT NECATI ATES
Fenerbahce announced that legal proceedings have been initiated against those who produced and disseminated the document in question, as well as individuals who made false statements based on it.
In the statement from the club, it was said, "A complaint has been filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the individuals who produced and disseminated the document in question, and all identified individuals, notably Necati Ates, who made false statements based on this document."

In Fenerbahce's statement, it was said, "The document circulating on social media, showing the transfer fee of Mason Greenwood, whom we transferred from Olympique Marseille for a transfer fee of 39 million euros as stated in the notification made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on 14.07.2026, as 50 million euros, is fake."
CALL TO THE CMB
Fenerbahce drew attention to the fact that Football Inc. is a publicly traded company and emphasized that the dissemination of misleading information regarding financial transactions is unacceptable. The yellow-navy club also invited the Capital Markets Board (CMB) to conduct the necessary investigations and initiate proceedings within the scope of its powers against those who produced and disseminated the document in question.
