The President of the National Intelligence Organization, İbrahim Kalın, traveled to Erbil, Iraq for bilateral meetings. In Erbil, he met with the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, and KDP Leader Masoud Barzani. During the bilateral discussions, the latest situation in the region following the war between Iran and Israel, as well as the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, were on the agenda.

CRITICAL MEETINGS IN NORTHERN IRAQ BY MIT PRESIDENT KALIN
According to information obtained from security sources, Kalın met with the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (IKBY) Nechirvan Barzani, the Prime Minister of IKBY Mesrur Barzani, KDP Leader Masoud Barzani, IKBY Deputy Prime Minister Kubat Talabani, the Minister of Interior of IBYY Reber Ahmed, and officials from the IKBY Security Council in Erbil.
During the bilateral discussions, the latest situation in the region following the war between Iran and Israel, as well as the steps to be taken to ensure regional peace and stability, were addressed.
THE MOST IMPORTANT AGENDA ITEM: 'TERROR-FREE TURKEY'
One of the most important topics that came to the table during the meetings was the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process. Steps to be taken in the upcoming period to cleanse the entire region of terrorism and completely remove terrorism from the regional agenda were discussed.
The role and security of Turkmen in political processes were also addressed in the discussions. It was emphasized that Turkey stands by the Iraqi Turkmen. Furthermore, it was highlighted that contacts with the Iraqi administration and IKBY authorities will continue to be increased in the upcoming period.
