PTT has warned citizens against fake messages recently sent using the name of the institution and the National Electronic Notification System (UETS). It was stated that fraudsters are trying to obtain personal and financial information through messages that appear to have been sent from PTT and UETS.
In the notification sent by PTT to users, it was reported that fraudulent attempts have been detected in recent times through fake messages that appear to have been sent on behalf of PTT and UETS.
"WE DO NOT ASK FOR PASSWORD AND BANK INFORMATION"
In the warning, it was emphasized that PTT never requests its users' usernames, passwords, verification codes, bank information, or payment details.
Citizens were asked not to click on links in suspicious SMS, emails, and other messages, not to open attached files, and not to share their personal information with third parties.
BEWARE OF THESE MESSAGES
While warning that fraudsters may direct citizens to fake links through messages appearing to have been sent on behalf of PTT or UETS, it was stated that electronic notifications should only be checked through reliable and official channels.
PTT asked that electronic notifications be checked through the UETS Portal, the UETS mobile application, and the e-Government Gateway.
If a suspicious message is encountered, it was recommended to contact the institution directly through PTT's official channels without using the links or contact information in the message.
The warning made by PTT is as follows:
- Do not click on links in suspicious messages.
- Do not open attached files.
- Do not share your username and password.
- Do not give SMS or verification codes to third parties.
- Do not share your bank and payment information.
- Check your electronic notifications only through the UETS Portal, the UETS mobile application, or e-Government.
