Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who assumed the position of CHP Chairman through an absolute nullity decision, stated that during the period when he was not the general chairperson, his vehicle expenses and the meal costs of his security personnel were initially covered by the CHP Chairmanship, but later this support was cut off. Kılıçdaroğlu then noted that a businessperson supported him by paying for the vehicle and meal expenses, adding, “It would not be right for me to reveal who they are.”
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made statements on the current agenda during a live broadcast on TV100. He evaluated many topics, from his experiences during the period when he was not the party chairman to internal party debates, from the İBB investigation to his presidential candidacy.
"HEADQUARTERS WITHDREW VEHICLES AND SUPPORT"
Stating that during the period when he was not the party chairman, the CHP General Headquarters covered the expenses of the vehicles allocated to him and the meal costs of his security personnel, but later this support was cut off, Kılıçdaroğlu said:
"The Headquarters withdrew the meals for the security personnel and the cars allocated to me. I am revealing this for the first time here. This is a shameful thing."
"A BUSINESSMAN PROVIDED SUPPORT"
Indicating that the expenses were later covered by a businessman, Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "A businessman came and said, 'Let me pay for the meal expenses of these police officers.' He paid for my vehicles and covered the meals of my security personnel. It would not be right for me to disclose who he is."
"THOSE WHO LEAVE THE PARTY SERVE ERDOĞAN"
Speaking about the claims that Özgür Özel would establish a new party, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "A true CHP member protects their own party. No one has the luxury of leaving the party. Whoever leaves the party serves Erdoğan."
Stating that a "parallel structure" cannot be allowed within the party, Kılıçdaroğlu expressed, "Özel doesn't need to leave the party, but there cannot be a parallel structure within the party."
ALSO SPOKE ABOUT İMAMOĞLU AND THE İBB CASE
Touching on the debates over Ekrem İmamoğlu's presidential candidacy, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "There is nothing as wrong as discussing the presidential candidacy. The candidate will become clear when the time and place are right."
Regarding the İBB investigation, he commented, "I have read the indictments; they are not ordinary indictments. I believe that mayors should be tried without detention."
CONVENTION MESSAGE
Speaking about the convention process, Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "If Mr. Özgür and his team withdraw their applications at the Court of Cassation, the decision will be finalized and the convention will be held. When that day comes, we will evaluate the candidacy issue."
