DEM Party held its parliamentary group meeting this week in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, near the Syrian border, to draw attention to the ongoing conflicts in Syria.
THEY BROKE THE WIRES AND CROSSED TO THE OTHER SIDE
After the group meeting, there was movement along the border line. It was observed that a group gathered after the meeting broke the wires at the border and crossed to the Syrian side. The footage showed moments of some individuals climbing the fences and running towards Syria after overcoming the steel gates at the border crossing.
INTERVENTION OCCURRED
Security forces intervened against those trying to cross into Syria along the border line. However, despite the intervention, it was noted that hundreds of people continued to advance towards the border. The events caused a brief tension in the region.
