Ahmet Davutoğlu, Chairman of the Future Party, made evaluations regarding the 'absolute nullity' decision on the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP. Davutoğlu said, "It is clear that the absolute nullity decision is an effort to design politics rather than a legal outcome in terms of its process and timing. If the validity of the procedures carried out after the fully authorized Supreme Election Council made its decision begins to be questioned, the security of future elections and congresses will also become questionable."
The 38th Ordinary Congress of CHP was canceled by the court with a decision of "absolute nullity", causing widespread repercussions in the public. Following the decision, former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu announced he would accept the duty again, while current Chairman Özgür Özel and his administration stated they stand behind the will of the congress.
