The owner of ID Consulting, Ayşe Barım, who was arrested on charges of directing the Gezi Park protests, has been denied by Minister Tunç. Minister Tunç stated that Ayşe Barım's blood pressure had risen and that she refused to go to the hospital.
Manager Ayşe Barım, who was arrested on charges of directing the Gezi Park protests and sent to Silivri Prison, fell ill in prison. While it was claimed that Barım was taken to the hospital, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç denied the allegation.
MINISTER TUNÇ DENIES CLAIM THAT AYŞE BARIM WAS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
Journalist Candaş Tolga Işık stated that he spoke with Yılmaz Tunç. In his post where he tagged Tunç, Işık used the following expressions: "I just spoke with Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, and he said, 'The news that Ayşe Barım had an aneurysm and was taken to the hospital is not true. In the afternoon, during a meeting with her lawyer and also her brother, she receives some news and, very sadly, says that her blood pressure has risen. She says it is a private matter and does not want to share it with anyone. Meanwhile, her blood pressure is measured, and it comes out normal. The prison staff still suggests calling an ambulance for further tests and transferring her to the hospital. She says there is no need and wants to rest in her room. The last blood pressure measurement result at 10:00 PM was: 14/7. Nevertheless, her health status is being monitored regularly,' he said."
"SHE FAINTED WHILE TALKING TO HER BROTHER"
Ayşe Barım's lawyer, Deniz Ketenci, stated, "She fainted while talking to her brother. Ms. Ayşe is a severe heart patient. Open-heart surgery was planned. She has two aneurysms in her brain and is at risk of stroke," he said.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED ON MONOPOLIZATION ALLEGATIONS
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation ex officio, considering the allegations about manager Ayşe Barım on social media platforms and in news reports as a tip-off. Ayşe Barım, who is the founder and partner of ID Consulting Limited Company and has managed many famous personalities, had come to the agenda with allegations of causing monopolization in the industry and distancing actors who opposed her from the sector.
As part of the investigation, a travel ban was imposed on Ayşe Barım, while Serenay Sarıkaya, whom she managed, gave a statement as a 'witness,' after which Barım was taken into custody.
ARRESTED DURING GEZI PROTESTS
After being taken into custody, Barım was released under judicial control. A while later, manager Ayşe Barım, who was taken into custody on the allegation that she directed artists during the Gezi Park events and was in contact with figures like Osman Kavala, was arrested on charges of "aiding and abetting an attempt to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey or prevent it from performing its duties."
