The body of former Minister of Transport Arif Ahmet Denizolgun, the previous leader of the community known publicly as 'Süleymancılar,' was placed in his grave at Karacaahmet Cemetery in Üsküdar following an exhumation and forensic medicine examinations conducted as part of the investigation into his suspicious death.
In the investigation into the suspicious death of Arif Ahmet Denizolgun, former Minister of Transport and previous leader of the community known publicly as "Süleymancılar," an exhumation procedure was carried out yesterday upon the request of the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Within the scope of the decision made to shed light on the allegations that have been raised for years regarding the cause of Denizolgun's death, the grave was opened, and a judicial examination process was initiated.
INVESTIGATION INTO WHETHER HIS DEATH WAS FROM NATURAL CAUSES
Based on the samples taken, it is expected that studies will be conducted to determine whether Denizolgun's death occurred from natural causes and whether any external intervention was involved.
Meanwhile, it is stated that allegations of a delay in reporting the death to official authorities, certain findings claimed to have been found on Denizolgun's body, and claims that the forensic examinations of the period were incomplete or erroneous are also being investigated.
BODY REBURIED
It was reported that detailed examinations on the samples taken during the exhumation procedure on August 19 will be conducted by the Forensic Medicine Institute, and it was learned that Denizolgun's body was placed back in his grave at Üsküdar Karacaahmet Cemetery today.
