Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar strongly condemned Israel's latest attacks in the Gaza Strip that resulted in the deaths of civilians, including women and children. The three countries called on the international community to ensure compliance with all obligations of the ceasefire agreement and to prevent further escalation in the region.
A joint statement was issued by Türkiye, Egypt, and Qatar regarding Israel's recent attacks in Gaza.
LATEST ATTACKS STRONGLY CONDEMNED
As mediator countries, we strongly condemned Israel's recent attacks in the Gaza Strip that resulted in the loss of civilian lives, including women and children.
DISRUPTED REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL EFFORTS
The mediator countries emphasized that at a critical stage when intensive efforts were ongoing and constructive steps were being taken in the negotiation process towards the implementation of the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, including during the meeting held between the Peace Council and Israeli officials, Israel's escalation of attacks undermined these efforts.
The mediator countries stressed that it is imperative for Israel to fully comply with all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and to refrain from actions that could further undermine the ceasefire and escalate tensions.
CALL TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
In light of the devastating consequences of the ongoing Israeli aggression in the region, the mediator countries reiterated their calls on the international community and the Peace Council, led by United States (US) President Trump and supported by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, to take the necessary steps and exert pressure to ensure compliance with the ceasefire and prevent further escalation.
