Due to the tensions in the Middle East, there has been a significant increase in fuel prices following the rise in Brent crude oil prices. Despite the escalator mobile system, 3.11 TL of the 12.44 TL increase in diesel will be reflected at the pump, while 92 kuruş of the 3.68 TL increase in gasoline will also be passed on to consumers.
While the war in the Middle East raises Brent oil prices, the rates for fuel increases in Turkey have also become clear. With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, the "escalator mobile" system has been reactivated after years, and part of the increases will be reflected at the pump.
OIL PRICES INCREASED BY 15 PERCENT
Following the tensions between the USA, Israel, and Iran, disruptions in the passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz have affected global energy markets. After this development, the price of Brent oil quickly rose by approximately 15 percent.
ESCALATOR MOBILE IS BACK IN OPERATION
With the regulation published in the Official Gazette at midnight, the "escalator mobile" system has been reimplemented, which will cover a large portion of the increase in fuel prices from the Special Consumption Tax (SCT). Under this system, approximately 75 percent of the increases in gasoline, diesel, and LPG will be covered by SCT, while 25 percent will be directly reflected in pump prices.
GASOLINE AND DIESEL PRICE INCREASES CLARIFIED
After the new regulation, the 12.44 TL increase in diesel will be limited to a reflection of 3.11 TL at the pump due to the escalator mobile application. In gasoline, the impact of the 3.68 TL increase on the pump price will be approximately 92 kuruş.
AN INCREASE IN LPG IS ALSO EXPECTED
It has been stated that an increase of 0.62 TL in LPG autogas prices is expected to take effect from midnight.

- Gasoline: 59.65 + 0.92 = 60.57 TL
