Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was welcomed today at Damascus International Airport by Syrian Foreign Minister Esad Hasan Şeybani during his visit to Syria.
THREATS TO SYRIA'S SECURITY WILL BE ADDRESSED
According to information obtained from ministry sources; it is anticipated that bilateral issues and regional matters will be addressed during the meetings to be held as part of the visit. In this context; it is expected to evaluate the projects carried out at the bilateral level for the reconstruction of Syria, review efforts to support capacity-building efforts in Syria, and assess the progress made in the integration of northeastern Syria into the central administration within the framework of the January 17 and January 29 Agreements. Additionally, it is expected to address threats to Syria's security, emphasize the effects of the war on Syria, and discuss other regional issues, particularly the situation in Lebanon.
MEETING WITH ZELENSKY AND SHARA IS PLANNED
On the other hand, it is planned for Minister Fidan to hold a trilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Syrian President Ahmed Shara, who are visiting Syria.
