BBP leader Mustafa Destici made striking evaluations regarding the "structure" debate in Turkish football. Stating that he has been a member of Trabzonspor's general assembly for 19 years and that he also supports Fenerbahçe, Destici said, "We need to fight together against this 'structure', otherwise Turkish football is losing. Trabzonspor fans need to realize this."
The long-debated "structure" controversy in Turkish football has also entered the political agenda. Mustafa Destici, the Chairman of the Great Unity Party (BBP), stated that Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor should fight together against this structure.

During his visit to Trabzon, Destici met with local tradesmen and used striking expressions in his evaluations about football.
Stating that he has been a member of Trabzonspor's general assembly for 19 years and that he also supports Fenerbahçe, Destici said, "We need to fight together against this 'structure', otherwise Turkish football is losing. Trabzonspor fans need to realize this. Our struggle against the structure must be together," he expressed.

Chairman Destici also pointed out the championship that Trabzonspor lost against Fenerbahçe in 1996, saying, “Fenerbahçe didn’t do anything in that match. Trabzonspor lost to Vanspor itself," he stated.
Forgetting that the Super League was played with a 2-point system at that time, Destici said, "You were ahead by three points, which was a two-point system. Here, while being 1-0 ahead, it was 2-0, and then 5-0, when Oğuz's goal came. After that, Aykut's goal came. Trabzonspor wanted to make a historic difference,” he said.
