VICTIMS SUFFERED APPROXIMATELY 42 MILLION LIRA DAMAGE
The report highlighted that 463 cooperative members were victimized due to irregularities in the agreement between İZBETON AŞ and cooperatives within the scope of the Izmir Örnekköy Urban Transformation project. It was stated that the victims suffered a loss of 41 million 935 thousand 79 lira due to the accusation of "qualified fraud." The report included the statement, "In the irregularity during the agreements between the cooperatives and İZBETON AŞ regarding the construction works applied for by cooperative victims in Gaziemir district, İZBETON's loss could not be determined."
İZBETON'S LOSS REACHED 973 MILLION LIRA
The report indicated that irregularities were also detected in the expenditures from 2021 to 2024, stating that due to document deficiencies and abuses in accommodation, transportation, food, and organization expenses, İZBETON AŞ suffered a loss of 5 million 937 thousand 136 lira.
In the "vehicle rental" and "construction" tenders, it was reported that non-existent works were shown as completed, resulting in excessive invoicing, leading to a total public damage of 243 million 305 thousand 735 lira and undue payments of 224 million 752 thousand 724 lira.
The report stated that it was determined by experts that İZBETON AŞ was caused a loss of 967 million 326 thousand 288 lira regarding vehicles without arvento registration.
49 MILLION LIRA UNJUST PAYMENT
The report indicated that in vehicle and machinery rentals, as well as asphalt paving, road, and construction maintenance, repair, and renovation works, "interference in the tender and performance of the obligation" occurred, and purchases were made at exorbitant prices, leading to a total public damage of 37 million 867 thousand 595 lira and unjust payments of 49 million 877 thousand 303 lira.
281 MILLION PUBLIC DAMAGE
According to the report, in the examination conducted under three separate criminal files, it was determined that the public damage amounted to 281 million 173 thousand 33 lira, the undue payment was 274 million 630 thousand 3 lira, İZBETON AŞ's loss was 973 million 263 thousand 42 lira, and the loss of cooperative member victims was 41 million 935 thousand 79 lira.
OPERATION
