In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was decided to impose judicial control measures of 'house arrest' and 'ban on traveling abroad' on UltrAslan leader Sebahattin Şirin, who was detained. While Şirin argued in his statement to the prosecutor's office that the 65 million TL worth of cash and jewelry seized at his home consisted of savings and wedding gifts, he claimed that he shouted the 'Öcalan' slogan during his transfer to the hospital to show support for the Terror-Free Turkey process.
The procedures at the police station for Muzaffer Şirin, known as "UltrAslan fan group leader Sebahattin Şirin," who was detained within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation into Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes due to social media posts, have been completed.
"HOUSE ARREST" DECISION
Şirin, who was taken for a health check, was brought to the Istanbul Justice Palace in Çağlayan. After his statement at the prosecutor's office, the suspect Şirin was referred to the duty magistrate.
The magistrate decided to impose judicial control measures in the form of "house arrest" and "ban on traveling abroad" within the scope of the crimes of "publicly disseminating misleading information" and "unlicensed possession of firearms and ammunition," as well as the articles of Law No. 6222 on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports regulating "disruption of competition order through statements on social media" and "unlawful entry of spectators into competitions and spectator areas."

Meanwhile, the details of Şirin's statement to the prosecutor were also obtained. Within the scope of the investigation, a search was conducted at Şirin's address. During the search, 796,400 liras, along with 82,953 dollars, 18,820 pounds sterling, and 918,595 euros, were found. Additionally, jewelry worth approximately 12,477,000 liras was identified in the house.
When the money was found in various parts of the house, Şirin stated that he preferred to keep cash and did not keep money in banks. He claimed that the money at home consisted of savings accumulated over many years and money given at his son's wedding, who got married approximately 8 months ago.
Making a similar explanation for the jewelry, Şirin said these were savings remaining from past years within the family and jewelry given at weddings.
TRANSACTION VOLUME OF 51 MILLION TL IN HIS AND HIS SON'S ACCOUNTS
It was stated in the MASAK report in the investigation file that a transaction volume of approximately 51 million TL was detected in the bank accounts of Muzaffer Şirin and his son İbrahim Şamil Şirin. Şirin argued that this money flow stemmed from their commercial activities.
Muzaffer Şirin said his son worked as a driver and was also involved in buying and selling mobile phones. However, stating that he had no knowledge of the amount of income his son earned, Şirin claimed he had no connection to the transactions in the bank accounts.
HE ALSO EXPLAINED THE SOURCE OF THE UNLICENSED GUN
In addition to the unlicensed pistol and ammunition, 4 ballistic vests were found during the search. Şirin said he bought the pistol about 5-6 months ago from a seasonal worker he thought was a Georgian citizen in the Of district of Trabzon for 45,000 liras. He claimed he bought the weapon to protect himself because he received threats for fighting against drugs in the stands.
Stating that he bought one of the ballistic vests from Zeytinburnu, and another was given to him by an acquaintance named "Hakan," Şirin said he did not know how the remaining two vests came to his house.
HE ADMITTED HIS POST MENTIONING MINISTER GÜRLEK
Şirin also admitted that the post he made on his social media account on August 8, 2026, at 23:56, belonged to him.
In his post, referencing the claims that a group within the state would make Fenerbahçe champion this season and that Justice Minister Akın Gürlek's name was being mentioned in these narratives, Şirin argued that he did not give credence to these claims.
Şirin claimed that his aim was not to target Minister Gürlek, but to draw attention to the posts he saw on social media, essentially to report and inform the Ministry. He also stated that he supported the Justice Minister's efforts regarding unsolved incidents.
"TURKEY WITHOUT TERROR" DEFENSE FOR ÖCALAN SLOGAN
Footage of Şirin chanting "Freedom for Sayın Öcalan" while being taken to the hospital was also included in the file. Şirin admitted to using these words but argued that his statements were intended to support the "Turkey Without Terror" process and Turkey's unity and solidarity.
Şirin also claimed that Mossad was behind the operation, asserting that he was targeted because of his support for Palestine and that he was on FETÖ's target list. It was noted that there was no concrete document in the file regarding these claims.
SAID "I DON'T KNOW" TO TWO OF THE THREE PHONES, DID NOT GIVE THE PASSWORD
The three mobile phones seized during the search were also one of the notable topics of the prosecutor's interrogation.
Şirin stated that only one of the phones belonged to him and said he did not want to share the password of his phone because it contained information and documents belonging to his family. He argued that there was no criminal element in the phone.
Saying he had no knowledge of the other two phones, Şirin also claimed he had no information about the contents of a USB flash drive seized at the house.
HE DID NOT ACCEPT THE BLACK MARKET TICKET ACCUSATION
Şirin, who also rejected the black market ticket and drug charges directed within the scope of the investigation, did not accept the claim that unfair profit was obtained through the Galatasaray fan group.
Şirin argued that the club did not distribute tickets to fans free of charge, that a 50 percent discount was applied for students, and that tickets were not sold above their value.
His lawyers, stating that there was no concrete evidence in the file showing income obtained from black market ticket sales, claimed that the money and jewelry seized at the house consisted not of criminal proceeds but of their client's savings from the past. The defense requested that Şirin be released and that a decision of non-prosecution be issued regarding him.
