It was learned that Tugay, whose departure had reignited claims that he would switch to the AK Party, left the group due to political discussions.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay, who resigned from the CHP last month and announced that he would continue his path as an independent, had left the WhatsApp group, which includes names elected as municipal council members from the CHP in the local elections, some time ago.
BROUGHT UP CLAIMS THAT HE WOULD MOVE TO THE AK PARTY
It was stated that after Tugay, some council members also left the group. Tugay's departure from the group also brought back claims that he would move to the AK Party.
ADDED BACK TO THE GROUP
On the other hand, it was learned that Tugay was added back to the group by the Vice President of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Levent Yıldır. It was also stated that some council members who left the group after Tugay's departure were also included back into the group.
NO POLITICAL DEBATE WILL OCCUR
According to the information obtained, it was stated that the main reason for Tugay's departure from the group was the political debates within it, and it was learned that with the decision taken, there would be no political debates in the group in the future, and the group would be used to inform council members and ensure coordination regarding municipal work.
It was stated that only council members would be in the group, and individuals who are not council members would not be included in the group.
