In the Efeler district of Aydın, striking developments have occurred in the investigation into the death of Mazlum Çiçek, who lost his life in a fire that broke out in an apartment on August 16. Following the claim that screams were heard from the home before the fire, the fact that a bag containing money and jewelry along with a suitcase were left ready in front of the apartment, and that the kitchen door where Mazlum Çiçek was found was locked, teams have intensified their focus on the possibility of murder. A detention decision has been issued for the wife, who is receiving treatment in Izmir.
A detention decision was issued on suspicion of murder against D.Ç., the wife of Mazlum Çiçek, who lost his life in a fire that broke out in an apartment in the Efeler district of Aydın on August 16. The screams allegedly heard before the fire, the locked kitchen door, and the bag found in front of the house changed the course of the investigation.
The fire occurred at night on August 16 on 1067 Street in the İstiklal neighborhood of Efeler district. According to the information obtained, citizens who saw flames rising from an apartment notified the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the area. Teams from the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, who arrived at the scene in a short time, intervened in the flames while police teams took security measures around the area. The teams responding to the fire brought out a woman named D.Ç., who was inside the house, injured. After the first intervention by health teams, the woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance and received treatment.
THE LIFELESS BODY OF HER HUSBAND WAS REACHED
During the fire department's work in the house, the lifeless body of D.Ç.'s husband, Mazlum Çiçek, was reached. Çiçek's body, who lost his life in the fire, was taken to the morgue for necessary procedures after the crime scene investigation.
According to the statements of some eyewitnesses, it was claimed that a woman's scream was heard from the house shortly before the fire, and then flames rose from the apartment. While examinations were being carried out to determine the cause of the fire, the fire teams that went to the scene upon the report found a bag left on the shoe rack in front of the house. The fire teams, who came prepared to break the steel door, noticed keys hanging from the end of the bag at that moment. The teams entered the house using the key and rescued the injured D.Ç.
DETENTION DECISION ISSUED
After the incident, an investigation was initiated by police teams due to the discovery of the bag and suitcase left in front of the house, seemingly ready for a getaway. Since the kitchen door of the house where Mazlum Çiçek was found dead was also locked at the time of the incident and its key was found inside the bag, the teams focused on the suspicion of murder. It was also determined that the woman had put money and valuables in her bag. While the investigation into the incident continues by the Aydın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention decision was issued on suspicion of murder against D.Ç., who continues her treatment in İzmir. It was learned that D.Ç. will be taken into custody after her treatment is completed.
