Enver Aysever, who was arrested on charges of "inciting hatred and hostility or humiliation," is alleged to have not shaken hands with Ekrem İmamoğlu in Silivri and to have said, "I won't shake hands with the hands of thieves." This claim was denied by Aysever's lawyer, Yiğit Akalın.

Journalist Enver Aysever, who was detained following his remarks about "right-wing politics" during a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, was arrested on charges of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or humiliation." It was claimed that Aysever had a confrontation with Ekrem İmamoğlu in Silivri (Marmara) Prison.

IT WAS ALLEGED THAT HE SAID "I WON'T SHAKE HANDS WITH THIEVES"

It was even claimed that İmamoğlu, who extended his hand to shake, had his hand left hanging in the air, and Aysever told İmamoğlu, who is detained in a bribery investigation, "Don't put your dirty hand out, I won't shake hands with thieves."

THE ALLEGATION TURNED OUT TO BE FALSE

Lawyer Yiğit Akalın, a witness to the encounter between Aysever and İmamoğlu, denied these allegations.

Speaking to Halk TV, Akalın stated, "It's a lie. When I was meeting with Aysever yesterday, he was at the very beginning. Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu shouted, 'Get well soon.' He also stood up, opened the door, and to make his voice reach, he said, 'Thank you, Mr. President, to you as well.'"
