Details of the operation targeting Gain Media have emerged. It has been revealed that a total of 1 billion 76 million TL was transferred to Gain Media, which was acquired by Selahattin Aydın, the owner of Anahat Media, through EFT and wire transfer transactions. The financing for these transactions was provided by a large amount of cash deposited into Aydın's account. Additionally, according to the MASAK report, when examining the account activities of the suspect Berkin Kaya, it was found that there were numerous high-value cash deposit and withdrawal transactions.

An operation was carried out against digital platform Gain Media Inc. and its affiliated companies as part of an illegal betting investigation. During the operation, three executives were detained, and trustees were appointed to the companies. As details of the operation emerged, it was determined that a total of 1 billion 76 million TL was transferred to Gain Media, which was acquired by Selahattin Aydın, the owner of Anahat Media.

According to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Terrorism Financing Prevention and Money Laundering Crime Investigation Bureau, an investigation was conducted for the crimes of 'Violation of Law No. 7258 on Betting and Gambling in Football and Other Sports Competitions' and 'Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes and Money Laundering of Assets Derived from Crime'; according to the MASAK report, when examining the account movements of the suspect Berkin Kaya, it was found that there were numerous high-value cash deposit and withdrawal transactions, that the suspect had intense SWIFT transactions, and that he transferred large amounts of money to some companies abroad. When examining the companies in which the suspect was a partner, it was assessed that there were numerous intelligence reports indicating that there were insufficient commercial activities to explain the said money transfers and that their accounts were used in illegal betting and fraud organizations.

450 MILLION TL PAYMENT MADE

It was determined that 50% of the shares of GAİN Media Inc., established on July 9, 2020, were acquired by the suspect Berkin Kaya on June 11, 2024, and that a total payment of approximately 450 million TL was made to the company between April 19, 2024, and October 22, 2024, including 310 million TL in cash, 88 million TL in wire transfers/EFT, and 1 million USD on January 9, 2025. Additionally, it was found that at the general assembly meeting on November 29, 2024, the company's capital was increased to 1 billion TL, with more than 380 million TL of the capital increase covered by converting the partners' receivables from the company into capital, and that the company's financing was largely provided by substantial cash inflows and transfers from abroad.

On the other hand, it was determined that the suspect Selahattin Aydın acquired GAİN Media Inc. for 450 million TL through Anahat Media Inc., which was established with a single partner and a capital of 10 million TL, and that on the same date, a cash capital increase was made, raising its capital to 470 million TL. Between January 28, 2025, and August 22, 2025, Anahat Media Inc. conducted approximately 1 billion 76 million TL in EFT and wire transfer transactions to GAİN Media Inc., and it was determined that the financing of these transactions was provided by large amounts of cash deposited into Aydın's account, and that these amounts were transferred to GAİN Media Inc. shortly thereafter.

3 SUSPECTS DETAINED, COMPANIES SEIZED

Simultaneous operations were carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Division teams to capture the suspects Berkin Kaya, Barbaros Reşat Gülcan, and Selahattin Aydın. Within the scope of the operation, movable and immovable properties deemed to be obtained from the crime were seized. Concurrently with the operation, the Istanbul Duty Magistrate's Court decided to appoint the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) as a trustee for GAİN Media Inc., GAİN Studio Production Inc., GAİN Shorts Media Inc., Anahat Holding Inc., Anahat Media Inc., 3B Software Technologies Industry Trade Inc., and Berton Construction Industry and Trade Inc. The suspects were detained.
