Director General of Security Ali Fidan made noteworthy statements at the 45th anniversary program of the Aviation Department. Emphasizing the power and technological capabilities of the Turkish police in the field of aviation, Fidan gave a harsh message to elements threatening security. Fidan said, "I would like to state clearly that no element intending to harm the unity of our homeland and the peace of our nation will ever be able to escape the hawk's eye of our air power equipped with high technology."

Director General of Security Fidan drew attention to the organization's developing air power and emphasized the importance of technology in security operations.
HE DREW ATTENTION TO THE 45-YEAR AVIATION JOURNEY
Reminding that the Aviation Department was founded in Ankara Gölbaşı on October 19, 1981, Director General of Security Ali Fidan stated that the organization had shown significant development over the past 45 years. He expressed that with its modern aircraft, well-trained personnel and operational capabilities, the Department is one of the most important units of the Turkish Police Organization. Director General of Security Fidan described the Aviation Department as the apple of the eye of the Turkish Police Organization.
HE RECALLED THE RESISTANCE ON JULY 15
In his speech, Director General of Security Fidan also touched upon the coup attempt on July 15, 2016, and reminded that the Aviation Department was one of the first points attacked. Drawing attention to the resistance shown by the personnel on duty that night, Director General of Security Fidan said that the organization underwent a significant transformation after the coup attempt. Stating that the Department continued its duties with the understanding of "Always Ready!", Director General of Security Fidan emphasized that the memory of the martyrs continues to be kept alive.
NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE SECURITY ORGANIZATION'S AIR POWER
Efforts to strengthen the aviation capacity of the Turkish police were also mentioned. Increasing the capacity of the Aksungur Operational UAV, the procurement processes for the T625 GÖKBEY General Purpose Helicopter, and simulator centers were among the prominent topics in the organization's technological development. Stating that aviation personnel undertake critical duties in counterterrorism, public order, traffic control, disaster and emergency operations, Director General of Security Fidan pointed out the importance of air support in security efforts.

In the most striking part of his speech, touching upon threats to Türkiye's security, Director General of Security Fidan emphasized that aircraft equipped with high technology constitute an important force in the fight against crime. Director General of Security Fidan stated that with the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the support of the relevant ministry, they continue the goal of making the "Century of Türkiye" the "Century of Peace".

At the end of the program, Director General of Security Ali Fidan celebrated the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Aviation Department and thanked the personnel for their work. Director General of Security Fidan commemorated the martyrs who lost their lives during their duties with mercy and the veterans with gratitude. He concluded his speech by wishing all personnel success in their duties.
