Many citizens, having heard about the discount campaign held during the opening, began to gather in front of the store hours in advance. As the doors opened, the crowd trying to enter moved simultaneously, creating a significant density. Citizens were practically racing against each other to reach the discounted products, while some faced the risk of being crushed due to the crowding.
HEALTH TEAMS STRUGGLED TO INTERVENE
Health teams dispatched to the scene intervened with citizens who fainted and fell ill during the stampede. Due to the dense crowd, the intervention of health teams was carried out with great difficulty. Police teams also made efforts to control the crowd, occasionally facing the risk of being crushed.
SINGLE DOOR INCREASED ENTRY AND EXIT CRISIS
It was reported that due to entry and exit being conducted through a single door, those inside had difficulty exiting, while those outside struggled to enter. During the density, there were also occasional minor disputes and fights.
OPENING WAS CANCELED
Due to the formation of long vehicle queues on the streets and traffic coming to a standstill in places, the opening of the shopping center was canceled after the crowd could not be controlled. Citizens who fainted were taken out through the staff entrance at the back of the shopping center by 112 teams and transferred to hospitals.

Sibel Balkım, one of the citizens who came to the opening, stated that she experienced difficult moments due to the crowd, saying, "Even though I came earlier, people rushed at me. If there had been planning here, such a stampede would not have occurred."
Şengül Tağa, who stated that she waited for hours, said, "I arrived at 11, it was very crowded. I could barely get inside through the people. I only managed to get one table. There are those who fainted, and there are those who are crying. They brought a child, and he was also crushed. It was really a very bad situation."
