In two separate operations conducted by gendarmerie teams in Antalya, 425,000 synthetic drug pills were seized, and 6 suspects, including a doctor, were arrested. 5 of the suspects were detained.
As part of the coordinated efforts of the Antalya and Alanya Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the Narcotics Crimes Department of the General Command of Gendarmerie, a comprehensive operation was carried out to prevent drug and stimulant trafficking. Suspects were apprehended during simultaneous raids conducted in Alanya and Muratpaşa districts.
PROVEN THROUGH TECHNICAL AND PHYSICAL SURVEILLANCE
Field investigations and analyses conducted by gendarmerie teams led to the suspects being placed under technical and physical surveillance. As a result of the efforts, the criminal activities of the suspects were documented one by one.
THEY ESTABLISHED A SYSTEM THROUGH DOCTORS AND PHARMACISTS
During searches conducted at 1 private clinic, 2 pharmacies, and 1 vehicle, it was determined that the suspects wrote prescriptions in violation of regulations in exchange for material benefits. It was found that the suspects sold synthetic pharmaceutical pills subject to colored prescriptions to addicts through pharmacists they had agreements with, thereby engaging in drug trafficking.
5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Of the 6 suspects taken into custody, 5 were arrested by the court they were brought before, while legal proceedings are ongoing for 1 suspect.
