Two assistant doctors, who are alleged to have engaged in obscene discussions about the physical characteristics and clothing of female patients in a WhatsApp group purportedly belonging to healthcare workers at Selçuk University Medical Faculty Hospital, have been suspended from duty, and an administrative investigation has been initiated.

The WhatsApp group of assistant doctors working in the Dermatology Department of Selçuk University Medical Faculty Hospital has drawn reactions due to the sharing of discussions about the physical characteristics and clothing of female patients on social media.

The messages reveal ugly comments made by doctors about women who come for treatment. Doctors making comments about their patients invite other doctors to "see" their own patients.

Following the emergence of the messages, the Ministry of Health and the Rectorate of Selçuk University initiated an investigation. Within the scope of the investigation, 2 assistant doctors were dismissed.
