The President of RTÜK, Ebubekir Şahin, in response to the allegations regarding Flash TV, stated, "After the notification regarding Erkan Kork's share transfer reached RTÜK, no business or transaction related to the broadcasting organization with the 'Flash Haber' logo has been approved by the Supreme Board, and no permission has been granted for any requests (such as logo change, HD broadcast request, cable broadcast request, etc.)."
RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin stated, "After the notification regarding Erkan Kork's share transfer reached RTÜK, no work or transaction related to the broadcasting organization with the 'Flash News' logo has been approved by the Supreme Board, and no permission has been granted."
Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) President Ebubekir Şahin responded to the allegations directed at RTÜK regarding the organization claimed to be owned by Erkan Kork, who was arrested as part of an investigation into illegal gambling and money laundering, in a statement made on his social media account.
"NO PERMISSION HAS BEEN GRANTED"
Stating that the allegations are unfounded, Şahin said, "According to the current legislation, RTÜK does not have the authority to prevent the share transfer or sale of broadcasting organizations. In such transactions, it is sufficient for broadcasters to notify RTÜK within 30 days at the latest. After the notification is made, RTÜK processes begin. After the notification regarding Erkan Kork's share transfer reached RTÜK, no work or transaction related to the broadcasting organization with the 'Flash News' logo has been approved by the Supreme Board, and no permission has been granted for any operation (logo change, HD broadcast request, cable broadcast request, etc.)."
"ALLEGATIONS ARE UNFOUNDED"
Şahin also stated, "The claims that the commercial activities within broadcasting organizations occur with the knowledge and approval of RTÜK are both far from legal reality and a perception operation aimed at misleading the public. The mentioned broadcasting organization has been transferred to TMSF as a result of the ongoing judicial process, and RTÜK is closely monitoring the process in all its dimensions. We will not remain silent against these attempts to mislead the public with unfounded allegations against RTÜK; our responsibility to inform the public accurately will continue with the same determination."
