The investigation file regarding the helicopter crash in 2009 that killed Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, the founding chairperson of the Great Unity Party, and five others, has been transferred from Kahramanmaraş to Ankara. As a result, the evidence items recorded in the file have also been sent to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation file was contained in 190 folders and 1 cardboard box within 20 cloth bags.
The "lack of jurisdiction" decision issued by the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office included evaluations regarding the investigation into the deaths of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, as well as BBP executives Erhan Üstündağ, Yüksel Yancı, and Murat Çetinkaya, İHA reporter İsmail Güneş, and pilot Mustafa Kaya İstektepe, in the helicopter that crashed on March 25, 2009, in the Karayakup hills region of Kahramanmaraş's Göksun district.
THE INVESTIGATION WILL BE CONDUCTED BY THE ANKARA CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The decision stated that it was determined that some suspects in the investigation file were serving in Ankara at the time of the incident, and therefore, investigation and evidence collection activities could be carried out more effectively in Ankara.
In this context, the decision noted that the current investigation should be conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and it was ruled that the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office lacked jurisdiction based on location.
DOCUMENTS SENT TO ANKARA
The decision recorded that the investigation documents were to be sent to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the assessment and execution of necessary actions, and that the transfer of registered custodial items in the investigation file was also decided. The Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent the investigation file, consisting of 190 folders placed in 20 cloth bags and 1 cardboard box, to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
