RARE BREED PIGEONS
Şebap pigeons, which are specially bred and raised and shown among rare pigeon breeds, attract attention not only with their beauty but also with their high prices.
Necmettin Budak, President of the Şebap Pigeon Federation, told reporters that as a federation they organize exhibitions across Turkey.
THEY OPERATE IN MORE THAN 30 PROVINCES
Noting that as a federation, there are associations operating in more than 30 provinces, Budak said, "We breed Şebap birds. We provide periodic care every week for our birds, which we breed with great care. This breed is a breed consisting of 5 breeds. This breed is now about to spread worldwide. Arabia has also joined us now."
PRICES LEFT EVERYONE SPEECHLESS
Reminding that they hold a festival once a year across Turkey and Europe, Budak noted:
"We are holding a Turkey-wide pigeon beauty exhibition in Erzurum. There is high participation from all provinces. Everyone brings their birds and exhibits them here. We have nearly 200 birds. Here we have Arab, Cakmakli, blue, kurenk, and miski breeds. Currently, there is participation from all over Turkey, from Europe, England, and Germany. Our birds are very valuable; we keep them in special cages. Our prices start from 100 thousand and we have valuable birds worth up to 5 million lira."
CAME FROM GERMANY FOR THE PIGEONS
İsa Kaya, who came from Germany for the exhibition, stated that it was a beautiful exhibition and said, "I also breed these pigeons. We have had a love for this Şebap bird for about 25 years. We always try to participate in such exhibitions and festivals. It is also a nice memory for us."
