An ordinary subway ride in Nanjing, China, turned into a rare incident due to a passenger's carelessness. Dozens of live eels spilled from a tipped-over bucket onto the floor of the moving train, causing brief panic in the carriage.
On a moving train in the Nanjing metro, a passenger carrying a bucket suddenly lost his balance, causing the bucket to tip over. As the lid opened, dozens of live eels inside spread across the carriage floor. Slithering rapidly across the slippery surface, the eels created an unusual sight in the train's aisle.
EXEMPLARY SOLIDARITY FROM PASSENGERS
Initially trying to understand what was happening in the face of the extraordinary scene, the passengers quickly overcame their brief confusion and, instead of panicking, acted together. Mobilizing to catch these slippery, hard-to-hold creatures, the citizens worked in coordination and managed to bring the eels under control.
METRO SERVICE CONTINUED WITHOUT DISRUPTION
Thanks to the passengers' intensive efforts, the eels were collected one by one from different corners of the carriage, placed back into the bucket, and returned to their owner in full. After a brief period of commotion, the carriage returned to its usual calm, and the metro service continued its normal course without any delays or interruptions.
