DRUGS SEIZED IN SHOES
As part of efforts to prevent drug trafficking by the Tokat Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crime Prevention and Intelligence Branch Directorates, an operation was carried out on a vehicle in the Erbaa district on April 30, 2026. During a detailed search, a total of 1 kilogram and 675 grams of heroin were found hidden in the soles of women's shoes.
1 PERSON ARRESTED
Within the scope of the investigation deepened under the coordination of the Erbaa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, both the supplier and the buyer of the seized narcotics were identified. Based on the obtained information, a simultaneous operation was conducted on May 4 against the identified suspects in coordination with the Hakkari and Antalya Provincial Police Departments. The suspects were caught and taken into custody during the operations. E.D., captured in Antalya, was arrested and sent to prison by the judicial authorities after police procedures. It was learned that E.S., captured in Hakkari, is still undergoing police procedures.
Meanwhile, it was stated that the amount of 1 kilogram and 675 grams of heroin seized in the Erbaa district is the highest amount ever captured in a single operation in the city in recent years. It was reported that efforts to capture other suspects who may be connected to the incident are ongoing.
