Milan Kovac, the engineering chief of Tesla, the electric vehicle company owned by Elon Musk, announced that he has resigned from his position voluntarily. It has been claimed that the reason for his resignation is the conflict between Trump and Elon Musk.

Immediately after Elon Musk "stepped down from his advisory role in the U.S. government to focus on Tesla," the head of the company's heavily invested humanoid robot program announced his departure.
The engineering head of the Optimus robot program, Milan Kovac, stated in a post on his account on the social media platform X, "I have been away from home for a very long time, and I need to spend more time with my family abroad."
Kovac also said, "I want to make it clear that this is the only reason and it has absolutely nothing to do with anything else. My support for Musk and the team is definite. Forever a part of the Tesla team."
IS THE MAIN REASON THE TRUMP-MUSK FEUD?
Meanwhile, a source speaking to Bloomberg, who wished to remain anonymous, reported that Kovac informed his colleagues that he would resign immediately on the days when Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump were engaged in a feud on social media.
Kovac had been with Tesla for 9 years. Initially working on artificial intelligence programs like Autopilot, he became the chief engineer of Optimus in 2022.
The tension between Elon Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump had cost Tesla $150 billion.
DID IT FALL SHORT OF EXPECTATIONS?
However, according to some analysts, Kovac's leadership in Tesla's humanoid robot program fell short of the desired level. One of the prototypes introduced to the public was indeed remotely controlled, but the promotional video of another was edited with CGI, which received widespread criticism.
Additionally, according to the technology site Futurism, Optimus is not economically viable despite Musk's ambitious claims to investors.
THE DISPUTE BETWEEN TRUMP AND MUSK
U.S. President Trump expressed great disappointment in Musk's statements, who had recently left his position at the White House and made harsh criticisms of the tax cut bill on Congress's agenda. Trump stated, "We had a very good relationship with Elon, but I don't know if that relationship is good anymore. I was very disappointed in Elon, even though I helped him a lot."
In response to Trump's statements on his X account, Musk commented, "Without me, Trump would have lost the election. The Democrats would control the House of Representatives, and the Republicans would have a 51-49 majority in the Senate." Musk also referenced Trump's previous posts regarding the national debt burden, stating, "Where is this guy today?" and "The Big Ugly Law will increase the budget deficit by another $2.5 trillion!"
Musk also claimed that the files related to the case of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being prosecuted for creating a network of sexual exploitation and prostitution of underage girls, included the name of U.S. President Trump.
