The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) announced that an earthquake occurred in Colombia at 15:34 Turkish Time. In the statement, the magnitude of the earthquake, recorded 18 kilometers southeast of the city of Medellin in Colombia's Antioquia province, was stated as 7.2. It was noted that the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 93.7 kilometers, was also felt in the capital Bogota. It was learned that the earthquake occurred in the early morning hours local time.
CATHEDRAL SUFFERED SEVERE DAMAGE
During the earthquake, the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica, one of the world's largest brick-built cathedrals, suffered severe damage.
