"I FELT SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED"

The 46-year-old mother Döne Macit, suffering deep pain from losing her daughter, described the moments she learned of the incident and what she felt afterward. Macit said, "I was at home. My daughter had gone to her friend's. News came from my sister that Ece was involved in a fight. Then, just as I was leaving home, my son's friends appeared at the door. They seemed uneasy. I asked, 'Did you hear something?' they blinked. When I went downstairs, there was a huge crowd. Seeing that crowd, I got even more uneasy. I felt something bad happened. They said Ece was shot, I collapsed right there."

GRIEVING MOTHER: FIRE BURNS WHERE IT FALLS

Demanding the harshest punishment for the perpetrators, mother Macit continued:

"They devoured my child. I want justice. I demand justice from state authorities. Someone shoots another when bored. Raising a child is not easy, is it? Until now, I was watching, feeling sorry for others. Fire burns where it falls. Now my fire is burning where it falls. One day this will be forgotten. It will be talked about for 3 days, 5 days. Then what? Another young person will be in the news next week. I want justice. Let no one's action go unpunished."

Reacting to comments on social media and around, the grieving mother said, "They make baseless comments. Comments like 'What was your daughter doing at a visit?' I didn't leave her idle. Now it's hard to control generations, young people. Everyone raises them, everyone has oversight. Let no one talk without knowing. As parents, we knew our responsibilities. We kept an eye on our child, but she saw her friends as like herself and trusted them. My daughter was a clean girl. She was good-natured, cheerful, harmless. She had a laugh that was priceless. I demand that all 4 people be tried. All 3 of them have involvement."

"BUYING POTATOES FOR MY HOME BECAME FORBIDDEN"

Sharing the heart-wrenching detail related to the moment her daughter was shot, Döne Macit said, "I beg you, really hear my voice. Until my child enters my dream and says 'Mom, I'm okay,' I can't be at peace. My child went hungry. The incident happened while she was preparing breakfast, frying potatoes. I no longer consider buying potatoes for my home; it became forbidden for my home. Those potatoes went from her hands. What is it to shoot someone from behind while they are frying potatoes, facing the counter?"

GRIEVING GRANDMOTHER: THEY TOOK MY FLOWER

Grandmother Hayriye Gazi, devastated by her grandchild's death, emphasizing they await justice, said, "Let my precious one's blood not go in vain, I can't bear it. She was my only one. They took my flower and left. Let her blood not go in vain, please. Let justice prevail."
